The Stanley Residents' Group volunteers work together to improve our local environment, to bring people together, and to help address local concerns or issues within Stanley, Wakefield, UK.

Stanley Heritage Trail - Wednesday 23rd July

Join us for one of our regular guided circular walks along part of the Stanley Heritage Trail.

Discover the fascinating local history of Stanley Ferry and Stanley Marsh.

This is a moderately paced walk along a mixture of pavements and dirt tracks.

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for the weather.

Free but advance booking is required as this walk is being run in association with Wakefield Council. Click to book.

The Annual Spectacular Gala 2025

Our Annual Big Event of the year, the Stanley Gala is to be held from 12:00 noon till 16:00 on 16th August 2025 at Stanley St. Peter's Church field.

Scarecrow Trail - 2025

Our Annual Scarecrow Trail is an opportunity to show off your creative skills.. Think of a theme, build your scarecrow, display for all to see and have the chance to win a prize. This year the event will run from Saturday 30th August to Sunday 7th September. You will need to apply by 23rd August. SRG Meetings

The Stanley Residents Group hold regular meetings to discuss and organise upcoming events as well as any matters arising within the Stanley area. If you are interested in helping out in the SRG, then please feel free to come along to one of our meetings and discover what's going on.
