Stanley Heritage Trail - Easter Egg Hunt

The Stanley Heritage Trail - Easter Egg Hunt took place from Mon 30th Mar to Fri 10th Apr. 

We hope everyone who participatd had fun and discovered a little bit more about Stanleys great history. 

For those who didn't make to the prize giveaway on Sat 11th Apr, click on any of the eggs below to see the answers.​​​​​​​​​

To help provide families with things to do during the School Easter Holiday and make History Fun - 12 images of colourful eggs will be placed along the Stanley Heritage Trail from Mon 30th Mar to Fri 10th Apr.

  • Alternatively, paper maps are available from Stanley Library.​​

 3.      Walk the Heritage Trail to find the eggs.

          (Hint: see POI 1, 4, 5, 10, 11,15, 20, 22, 25, 31, 35 & 36)

​4.      Match the egg on the Heritage Trail with one of the eggs on your answer sheet and write down the

         POI No. in the centre of the egg.

5.      Read about the POI and write down the answer to a simple question relating to Stanley’s rich history. 

6.      Find just 1 or up to 12 eggs to collect prizes from Stanley Library on Sat 11th Apr  10: 30 - 12:00.

​         NOTE: Answers will be posted on Sun 12th Apr (Website & Community Board)​

1.      Get an Answer Sheet.

  • You can download the sheet here to print you own copy.

  • Alternatively, pick up a sheet from Stanley Library from Sat 28th Mar.

2.      Get a copy of the Stanley Heritage Trail Map.

  •  If you have the Google Maps app installed on a Smart Phone - Scan the QR code or Click on the Online Map link.

Prizes for correct EGG / POI NUMBER MATCHES + ANSWERS:

Receive 1 small chocolate egg for every correct Egg / POI match + answer (Max 12)

ALTERNATIVELY select . . .

BRONZE Prize for 1 – 4 eggs matched + correct answer

SILVER Prize for 5 – 8 eggs matched + correct answer

GOLD Prize for 9 – 12 eggs matched + correct answer

Please Note:- Children should be accompanied by an adult.   

The trail crosses main roads and follows pavements that can be narrow as well as rough footpaths that may be uneven, muddy and close to open water.
